- Use a primer. The primer will "lock" the color on the eyelid and ensure you an intense look all day.

 - Hold your eyelid for more control. If you have applied eyeliner even once in your life you would have noticed that it has a tendency to "stick" to the lines of the eyelids. To avoid this and create an even canvas for its application, use your index finger and slightly pull the skin of the eyelid upwards.

- Choose the right shade. Black is not the only option. There is also brown, green and many more colors. The first two are ideal if you are beginners, while the colored ones emphasize the look and bring out the color of the eyes. Extra tip: If you have blue eyes, choose brown, bronze or copper tones, if you have green, violet and purple undertones and if you have brown, blue or navy undertones.

 - Create a guide for your line. One trick is to work with small lines or dots and then simply join them.

 - Draw the line first with a pencil If you have trouble drawing a straight line with your liquid eyeliner. This way you will know exactly where to move with the brush and you will even work with faster movements, before the liquid has time to dry.
